Problems with Bridgeing things in Maya

I am trying to make a helmet in Maya. It isn't going all that well. Sometimes I forget about a step or something, & other times Maya just decides not to work for some reason. Right now I am trying to Bridge 2 things together. So far the onlt problem that keeps showing up is that I have to have the "same number of edges selected". Hopefully I will have this problem fixed very soon.... Probably by tomorrow.
